A New Beginning

Just a little bit about me.

I always thought my life ticked along nicely, having a wonderful family and friends.

After leaving college, I worked in a residential setting working with children with learning disabilities. Having got married I then decided it was time to have a family of my own and I now have two great sons. Privileged to be a stay at home mum for five years I returned to working evenings and weekends in the hospitality industry. Once my sons became slightly older I worked in a rehabilitation hospital as a Physiotherapy Assistant for many years. I then decided to change my direction and worked with young people with issues as a Foyer Manager eventually working part-time for the local authority as a therapeutic practitioner. I have met and worked with some wonderful people during my career in the caring profession.

In 2015 my outlook on life changed, I wasn’t feeling confident at the time and after receiving some excellent counselling myself I realised what I really wanted to do with my life. So I studied to become an Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist.

By coming to GO Therapy, I hope I can give you an opportunity to have a new beginning too.
